The Dog by Francisco Goya, 1819
As you take a look with this painting, you’ll see a helpless dog either caught in a quicksand, drowning or whatsoever. Lifting it’s head up facing the heavens as it renounces to its fate. Ironically despite of death depicting in the canvass you can feel peacefulness and complete affirmation.
