Things I am thankful for last 2012 :)

I want to make credit for the memorable and life changing experience that happened to me last 2012. Last year turned out to be in a great bliss. It was really my year, all luck to the year of the Dragon.

Last year was all about heightening my FAITH, value the gift of family, making friends and being positive to make things possible.

Despite of losing my Grand Ma, who died because of cancer she thought me how to forgive and let go of the past that keeps on holding me. It also strengthened our family ties as we stood by each other specially in supporting our mom. Here are some few things I am really grateful of…

Family

Nothing beats spending the year close to your family. We made it thru the last Habagat. We finally had the guts to venture into a franchise business and its working well. I finally bought my Mom her LED TV gift.

Making New Friends

I made great new friends last year in the workplace. I get to know most of the girls Glad, Karen, Ms. Agnes and Jaime. I had established strong relationship with my clients, some I consider as friends as well despite of the age gap.

Work –Early Bird and Achiever Award

My work went pretty impressive for me. I achieved more than my target which is 175%. I think somehow the craft of sales is slowly embracing me. I got new clients and closed major deals. Finally, I was able to convince this client to upgrade their system which I am proud of.

Marko

This may sound mushy, but I’m thankful for my boyfriend for constantly loving me unconditionally. Though not all relationship is perfect but we still made it through 7 years. One of our highlights would be spending our 7th anniversary at Boracay.

Though last year was more of career-oriented. I’ll make to make this year of 2013 a lot better, exciting and memorable. Hopefully (crossing my fingers), I’ll make it to graduate school.

Age and Change

My 24th birthday is around the corner. I’m getting old day-by-day. Is there any inevitable event such as aging and change? Aging and Change has been constant in our lives. You change as you grew old, you jive into new principles and you learn to be more open. I was reflecting on the important things that had changed in my life. Firstly, I’m more mature in taking life decisions. Secondly, I’m more mature on handling relationships be it in family, workplace, friendship and to my long-term relationship with Marko. On the physical appearance, I think my body figure had matured and bloated a lot. Now, I can face different sets of people at all sorts of ages, with different personalities and have a coffee conversation with them. Then, I realize there were some things that should’ve NOT change or rather should have change to improve. Firstly, I spend less time visiting the Church to offer my prayers. Secondly, I’m forgetting how to enjoy life to its fullest as I’m always preoccupied with a lot of things in mind. Most importantly, some part of our relationship have changed. Maybe it’s me who have change or only because that at our age we need to make some priorities in life. I know I should not cling too much on the past… But then I just miss the old us. Careless, insanely in-love, more kisses, more hugs, more endearments… (why am I writing about this???) - I just miss the old times. Maybe we just outgrew those things because we are getting old. Now, I should try to outgrow this feeling. Again, for the end time… I just miss the old times….

My dad leaving agaIn for work

I’ve been vocal, that I am a certified daddy’s girl. My dad is a seaman. He sacrifices being not with us to earn living for the family, so he can send us to expensive schools and provide more than what we need.

My dad just got back from abroad last August 13 (exactly on his birthday). Just a while ago, we receive a news from him that he’ll be leaving tomorrow to relieve a chief captain because his mother died. Knowing my dad, he would immediately accept the offer. That’s how dedicated he is. It’s not that it’s new to us. It happened so many times, when my dad did not made it to my college graduation because he had to leave few days before my big day.

It’s just been three weeks since we spent with him. Well, as for my mom she’s hadn’t gotten enough of the cuddling with my dad. I also rarely spend time with him since it’s already late when I arrive from work.

Oh well, I don’t want to be emotional when we are saying goodbyes in the airport. I never grew old with the crying stuff when my dad had to leave. Same goes with my mom. I’m going to miss him again just like the 4 year old little girl 😢

I pray always for his safety. I love my dad. I look up to him despite of his intolerable philosophies in life.
