Project: Loose Weight this 2013

One of my targets this is year is to regain my confidence but by doing so this means losing weight. I’ve gained a lot last year. Based on trend I’m gaining almost 3 lbs a year which I can no longer afford to have this year. I’m a procrastinator by profession in terms of my health regime and I have great attraction for carbs!

Last year I have wasted money by enrolling myself for a one year gym membership which I rarely visit. I can count the number of visits in my hands. So, enrolling myself to the gym won’t work with me this year. My next project loose weight is to invite some friends for a badminton game, apparently the badminton courts near our place had already closed. Every time I attempt to jog it rains as if forces of nature are halting me off to achieve my healthy goal.

I won’t attempt to force myself into a strict diet because it will lead again to an epic failure. The least thing I can do is avoid eating junk foods and sweets which I dearly love. A friend of my boyfriend also recommends this miracle powdered drink called Carbtrim to solve my problems. Tag line of the product is quite promising though, ““Stop watching carbs and start blocking them”. It says it contains kidney bean extracts which based on studies help reduce the absorption of dietary carbs. I heard this also from one radio station plugging Carbtrim. Since it was being recommended, I gave it a try. It costs Php144.00 per box which contains 6 sachets that cost you Php24.00 per sachet. You have to take it at least 3 times before meals, so that’s Php72.00 addition to your usual daily budget.

Crossing my fingers I hope this time it works for me :)

Diet Experiment Day 2

Despite of my epic failure on my day 1. I tried to continue my day 2 diet which is all about VEGETABLES. My breakfast and lunch went well. Come this afternoon  I started craving for foods I’m not supposed to eat like pizza and pasta. My colleagues on the other hand are very persistent in supporting distracting me to continue the diet (but I still love them for that).

When we went home I felt a little shaky and dizzy. The diet plan is not really working for me so its OFFICIALLY OVER!

Diet Experiment

Yesterday, I started doing this popular diet which my friend introduced me. They call it GM (General Motors) Diet. It’s a seven day diet which you have to strictly follow.

The first day was all about FRUITS. You should double your water intake and eat nothing but fruits (except bananas).

I went to a nearby supermarket to buy a bowl of assorted fruits. My breakfast and lunch went well. Come this afternoon, I started to feel deprivation of foods I want to eat. I was trying to hold my self-control and I ended up totally feeling insane.

I was hungry, famished, starving… I ended up eating cup noodles. It was an epic failure.

I know it was only mind over matter and I have failed to fight my cravings. It’s silly because I never expected myself to be so emotional when it comes to food.
