SMS from my Dad says "USE YOUR HEAD"

I was obedient since I was young. I strictly follow the rules even if it means not having the freedom to enjoy your childhood, make some friends in the neighbor. My parents are not the supportive ones.

For my dad, he's working abroad so even though he wants to, I understand that he won't be able to make it. As for my mom, she's not the stage mother type. Even though I competed declamation and perform an acting script on stage she was never there. I learned to boost my self-esteem alone and fix myself independently. My siblings was never an exemption too. I know they also felt the same way I did.

It doesn't mean that they don't love us though. Let's just say they never experienced it either from their parents which of course is our grand parents. It doesn't also make them less as a parent to us. Maybe, they just lack on that aspect of parenthood.

To cut my long drama short. This morning on my way home because I slept on my boyfriend's house, I received a text message from my dad saying he's not happy about it that I violated his trust. This one struck me when he said... "USE YOUR HEAD".First of all, before I got permission to sleep over in my bf's house. Since I'm around a conservative country with old fashioned norms. Definitely, this kind of action is not right. I've been a good daughter since I was born. I never break any rules. I'm sick of being the nice daughter. I'm tired of proving it to them every now and then.

My boyfriend Marko, and I have been together for almost 6 years now since college and until now after graduation. I know what I'm doing and I've never been happy like this for the entire 20 years of my life since I met him. Marko, was the only one person who made me feel so special. He patched those missing pieces when I wanted support from my parents.

Right now, I'm thinking of silly things like asking my boyfriend right at this very moment to get married. What do you think? I'm also praying right now that my dad won't get mad at me. I hope I still have his trust. I hope he realizes that I'm using my brain as well as my heart. I wish I can just cry in front of this people.

Why I fell in love with Panasonic Lumix Lx3

In terms of photography, I'm a newbie. However, I have this great deal of appreciation for nice photography shots. Nowadays, many people are so inclined with photography class which I'm planning myself to enroll some other days.

To start of, last December 2010 I got this gift box from my boyfriend. To cut long story short how I jumped in happiness when I finally seen my present. It was the Panasonic Lumix LX3, I've been yearning for!

The reason why I fell in love with DMC-Lx3 is because of this picture taken at Pasig river...

This picture was taken by Sherman Liberato whom I consider pro in the field of photography. He was explaining about camera settings, long exposure to achieve scenic picture like this.

DMC LX3 is under the digital still cameras an alternative for DSLR photography  enthusiast. The one thing I love about Lx3 is the ease of use. You don't have to be pro to achieve the shot you want. Apart from being handy compared to bulky and heavy DSLRS, LX3 is very versatile in terms of functions. The program dial gives you different options plus built-in scene modes such as food, sports, portrait, landscape etc. tec.

Here's a sample of a food mode which I have taken few months ago...

Now, if you already have your Lx3 or planning to buy one and you want to maximize its functions. This website would surely help you. http://lbguides.com/cameras/panasonic/DMC-LX3/functions.html. - it showcase step by step videos on how to use LX3.

Start of Something New

I promised myself several times to religiously  document important events in my life and because of my so busy schedule I don't have the luxury to do so. I'm hoping this could be a start of something new.

My life was a blast for the last year or should I say right before I graduated. For just a span of 2 years, I landed 3 jobs. The first job was a rather traumatic one for a fresh graduate like me, since my first boss was a total pre-madona. It was all about making coffee, arranging her schedule and making sure to make restaurant reservations  and buying her food for lunch. That was not definitely what I'm worth of. I never imagined myself as corporate secretary. That's when I decided to look for a more challenging work. So, I landed my second job in a multi-national company as a regional training officer. Colleagues are so nice, however I can feel the bias treatment since I was hired under agency. 6 months after, there are no relevant movement to be regularized since based on history you have to stay for about 2 years or more. So, I decided to look again for a more stable job and pop I got an interview schedule from an IT company. And yes, I got hired. Right now, I'm still working for this company, I almost decided to quit though. You may call me journey girl, yes I agree so.
Later on, in this blog I'll tell about the people I encounter on a daily basis. How I dealt with them.
