The Symphony of Parol at Ayala Triangle

Dec 31st, 2010 7:46pm

I’m one of the biggest fans of lights. I’m fascinated with it ever since I’m a little kid. This is why I love to visit overlooking sites. The lights look like twinkling diamonds enticing me so much. That’s also the reason why I’m fond of decorating Christmas lights. Unfortunately I only get to see them during Christmas seasons.

After visiting the Policarpio St. in Mandaluyong. We also visited Ayala Triangle to witness the “Symphony of Parols”. Parols and Christmas light dances through the groovy Christmas carols. There were smoke effect and green dancing laser lights at the middle of the show (which according to Marko’s niece is a green snake going up and down). Combination of blue and purple lights were hanging on the trees (apparently two of my favourite combinations). I also love the light decors along the street of Ayala Avenue which I call the “tear drop” lights. Same lights decors along Alabang.

Show starts at 6:00pm. Approximately of 15 minutes I guess. The shows repeats every after 30 minutes.

Niko begging us to go. He’s afraid of the light show. Most especially the green laser lights which he calls the up and down snakes.

I won’t get tired falling in love with lights. I’ll be forever in love with them.

Training Log: Day 1

Dec 28th, 2010 12:54pm

Yesterday, December 27th I successfully woke up early to jog together with my mom and dad. We jog around the circles of Sta. Lucia Mall. We were able to jog 4 rounds. Actually, it was variants of jog, walk and walk :)

This morning, I was upset because my dad didn’t wake me up to join them with our supposedly daily jogging routine. He thought i have office today. Well, I do have but I decided to “work from home".

Right now, I’m planning to visit the gym to trim out some fats. Anyway, I also tried to drink a slimming tea since I’m suffering constipation for the past few days.

Did you know that herbal slimming tea has “laxatives" that helps to induce bowel movements in our body specially during constipation. However, too much of it is not healthy. I’m trying to avoid it as much as possible because there are some possibilities you get dependent on it.

I love you Mom.

Why do we take our moms for granted? When they are the only ones who are capable of unconditional love? Sad but true :(

Post-Christmas Shopping

Dec 27th, 2010 11:48am

Yesterday, we decided to go for post-Christmas shopping at Greenhills. We were expecting fewer people on malls since Christmas day just ended. As usual there is still a heavy traffic on the streets of Greenhills. Parking lot is full and there were still shoppers doing their post-Christmas shopping like us.

The clothes I was planning to buy before Christmas were already sold out. It seems like all the nice stuffs were already gone.

I told my mom that we hop to Robinsons Galleria. We bought few clothes for my brothers. While I look for a perfect fit pair of slacks and jeans. Unfortunately it took me almost 2 hours to find one. The slacks I tried won’t fit me. My lower body is not proportionate I guess. While I was in the fitting room you can hear the banging on the walls. I was really having hard time wearing and taking off those pair of jeans. I almost tried all styles. Then finally I got two. The saleslady exclaimed, “finally!" and yes I heard her.

I’m so speechless…

Christmas eve when we were exchanging gifts and opening Christmas presents I got this box. When I opened it, it was wrapped with a message. Surprise?

Then to my surprise when I opened it I saw this Panasonic Lumix LX3. A message again in the box “put the battery inside the camera", so I did it. When I opened the camera I saw these pictures.

I’m so blessed with a very loving boyfriend. I love you so much honey!

Christmas Decors at Famous Policarpio Street, Mandaluyong City

Dec 21st, 2010 1:36pm

Decorating and lighting up houses has been a tradition at Policarpio Street, Mandaluyong City.  Finally, I got to see it for myself. This year (2010), only few houses participated in decorating their houses. There were only 5 houses decorated based on their unique themes.

First house you can see is Sta. Claus themed house. Apparently, that night GMA 7 was having a taping for their morning talk show.

The next house you will see is decorated with Christmas lights. The gate took our attention. The house almost looked like diamonds.

The next house looked a little bit futuristic with its neon light colors.

There were also rain dear inspired house. Miniature rain dear statues were all over the house.

According to my friends, Policarpio street was unlike before when each houses participates in decorating their house. There were bazaars also in vacant warehouse and street foods. I don’t know what happened this year. Even Ayala streets are not fully decorated with lights.
