Pawtastic Birthday for Twinkle

I always dream of pampering my fur baby (twinkle) to restaurant where she can also enjoy dining-in. Any avid pet owner sort of hope for the best for their fur babies specially in picking the right food which means having the right ingredients in it.

It’s Twinkle’s 3rd Birthday and I wanted to make it extra special for her. I googled for pet friendly cakes and it landed me to this Pet-Deli restaurant called Whole Pet Kitchen. It’s the first pet bakery and dog café in Manila located in San Juan (it’s just located near Café Ysabel).
Their products are made out of high quality ingredients and no preservatives. They assured me that their ingredients went through a thorough research and approved by vets. So, I count their word on that.

My Sister showing Twinkle her Birthday cake

I pre-ordered the Small Paw Cake (4x4 inches) since Twinkle is just a toy dog. The main ingredient is Liver and Cream Cheese pink frosting. We also ordered their bestselling Jack’s Lasagna and Beef N’ Veggie Balls. It’s a mixture of beef, liver and veggies I suppose served in a ceramic bowl on top of wooden plate.

At first Twinkle hesitated to eat and she sure did a lot of sniffing. But when she tasted it she started savoring the meal. It was a bit messy though, because the beef and pasta keeps on tangling in her fur.

We are lucky at first, because we’re the only customer inside the restaurant at that time, but when a dog and his pet owner came-in Twinkle suddenly lost her appetite especially when the Maltese started barking at her.

I'm helping her blow the cake

Orders are made online using their website. They have 5 days prior your requested delivery/ pick-up date specially for those big and customize cakes because they bake it fresh.

Delivery cost is Php 60.00 for Metro Manila area and Php 100.00 for Provincial. There are some cakes that are suggested for pick-up only.  Delivery schedule as follows:

Wedding Themes and Mood Board

Aloha! One of the best parts of planning a wedding is picking your chosen theme and color pallets. Right now I’m torn between the three: rustic, shabby chic and whimsical.

The theme likely represents the couple’s personality. In our case, my fiancé and I are more of the nature-loving type so we’re picking the “rustic”.

Rustic theme is a combination of garden and vintage styling. For the embellishments, you creatively use mason jars, laces and burlap. It requires fewer flowers, more on the green like combination of million stars, hyacinth and a touch of pastel colored flowers.

On the other hand, “Shabby Chic” can go along with rustic theme. It’s more of an on-trend vintage feel. I’m picturing a chic and homey-feel in the reception by combining white, tiffany blue, peach and olive green.

I’m also more on the girly type. I’m eyeing the whimsical theme. Since, we’re going for Josiah’s Catering luckily they have ready centerpiece mock-up for this peg.

Ella Bella and Oleoleol Finally Tying the Knot

The last time I remembered blogging was about my “quarter-life-crisis-relationship-issues”. I was at this point accepting to myself, that I’m meant to be more career-oriented-woman and that of relationship becomes my least priority.
I’m not telling that I’m already falling-out-of-love during that time. I just felt that Marko and I should have leveled-up our relationship after 7 years of being together.
April 9, Marko invited me to meet our college best friends in Eastwood. He requested me to wear a dress, but I refused to. I told him it’s a “usual day lang naman”. Little did I know of what’s he’s up to.

We grabbed some ice cream in Swensen’s with my UBE friends (machu, kiethlee and sowkie). We did a lot of catching up stories while Marko was complaining with his headache.

It was 7pm when we headed to Isabelo’s Garden Restaurant in Marikina for our dinner. When we are about to approach the restaurant, Marko started covering my eyes. I started having butterflies in my tummy because I know he is up to some sort of surprise like he usually do. Keeping my expectations low, I’m not expecting for a proposal because he never gave me signs.

When I was asked to open my eyes, I saw placards held by my friends and siblings. It says “WILL YOU MARRY HIM ->” pointing to Marko holding a stem of rose. I saw my mom and dad on his side who was also caught by surprise (both were teary-eyed).

To my friends, Kiethlee ChuaMatthew Sales and Sowkie Perez, Thanks for being part of this special event. I can’t imagine how nervous Marko was.

To my soon-to-be-husband, Oleoleol Valencia. (although hindi pa nag sink-in). I know we’ve been waiting for this for so long (almost 9 yrs in the making). I can never thank you enough for the love and patience you never failed to give me. You know how much I love you and thank you for making this special ♥
