Just like the old times in college we celebrated Machu’s birthday which also serves as our reunion. The thrill part of it we played at Market Market mall’s LazerXtreme. The first time we went there we were so anxious and excited. There were five teams in the arena, our team pink (machu, sowkie and I), blue team (marko and jet), red team (some grade school students from the international school at the Fort) green team (3 kids below 10 years old and one dad). We were so confident we’ll win the game over these preschoolers. But as it turned out, they were able to kick our ass during the whole laser tagging game. They have this strategy just like those watch from counterstrike. I bet those foreign students plays LazerXtreme as their past time.
Getting started with the game we were asked to wear an armour and laser gun. The goal is to tag your opponents in their armours using the laser gun. Once your tag you will be on power off for 10 seconds before getting back to game. You also have to tag other pack’s base which we did not know because we weren’t listening to the video instruction prior the game. During the game I’m running with my wedges on, sweaty and screaming because of excitement while those foreign students chase me during the entire game. Embarrassed with the results, being the under dogs, we went for another round. One-on-one round between the four of us.
LazerXtreme is indeed a fun sci-fi experience, especially when you’ll be playing with your friends. Much cheaper and safer compared to paintball. In paintball your limited with your paint capsules unlike LazerXtreme you have unlimited number of tags until the end of the game. LazerXtreme would cost you around Php 170 to Php 190 only. They also have party packages and group sessions. Perfect to spend with your family, group of friends and colleagues at work.
